Petanque Federation Australia - PFA - is responsible for the leadership, administration, management and development of the sport at the national level. We support our Member Clubs and State Leagues to grow the sport.

PFA is a member of the FIPJP and the Oceania Confederation of the FIPJP.
The PFA, Petanque Federation Australia Ltd, is a non-profit limited company.

Company members are Affiliated Leagues and Petanque Clubs.
From the PFA Constitution:
FIPJP is the sole international sporting authority entitled to make and enforce regulations for the encouragement and control of Petanque. So that the above authority may be exercised in a fair and equitable manner, FIPJP has drawn up the Statutes and Regulations governing Petanque. Each national federation, including Petanque Federation Australia Ltd belonging to FIPJP, shall be presumed to acquiesce in and be bound by the Statutes and Regulations.
Subject to such acquiescence and restraint, one single national federation per country shall be recognised by FIPJP as the sole international sporting power for the enforcement of the present Statutes and Regulations and control of Petanque in its own country.
The Petanque Federation Australia Ltd has been so recognised by FIPJP and delegated by FIPJP with exercising the Sporting Power for Australia
