On the 24 July we started our new season with a bumper turn-out of 33 triples teams.
The first time that the SAPL Interclub League was played is a little hazy, we are certain that the event has been held continuously since 2003 making this our 20th consecutive year but there is also some evidence that the competition started in 1997, before SAPL was officially founded. In either situation, SAPL is proud to have organised the longest running Pétanque competition in the Southern Hemisphere.
