It was a particularly cold and windy day in Canberra, but it was cheered up greatly by a superb club competition. Members arrived in jackets and beanies, equipped with thermos’ and hearty food. Play was keen yet friendly, and there were plenty of well-contended rounds before lunch. Then there were semis for both sections, which were evenly matched for most of the duration. The final was a nail biter, with both Rob ( last years winner) and Ahmed showing us their best play. Everyone stayed till the end, the interest outweighing the chill factor.
Congratulations Ahmed. You’re a deserving winner. Congratulations Rob, it was a great match. Shame there has to be a runner up. Congratulations Baz for winning the Consolante. You played consistently well all day.
